Metabolomic program

The purpose of our metabolomic program provides support to the life sciences research community to explore and understand the role of metabolomics in systems biology. This is achieved through identification and quantification of biochemical products from metabolism by NMR and MS analysis.  We can help you to deal with samples of different origins, such as biological fluids, tissues, cells, plants and food products. You will receive a report (PDF/Excel) containing details of your samples, methods used and results of the data through our DMAC portal.

 1 - Untargeted metabolomic profiling

Usually involves the comparison of the metabolome between the control and test groups.  Large-scale LC/MS analyses are performed using Waters instrumentation platform which enables operation in MSE mode (Data Independent Acquisition MS). NMR analysis are performed with a 700 MHz Bruker NMR spectrometer. The combination of these two approaches will provides a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative data set from a single experiment.

 2- Targeted metabolomic profiling

Targeted profiling is applied when the metabolites of interest are known. These metabolites can be metabolic biomarkers from different metabolic pathways that requires validation for future clinical use.
